Cutting a 90 mm thick aluminum plate using a water jet
Today, we invite you to watch a film where rectangular holes measuring 345 mm in length and 285 mm in width, with a 28 mm edge width, are cut out of a 90 mm thick aluminum plate using a water jet with abrasive (fine mineral sand).
At Metalmix, thanks to water jet cutting technology, we are able to cut metals: titanium, aluminum, steel, or copper, as well as construction materials like granite, marble, ceramic, and porcelain tile, which cannot be precisely cut with a laser due to their thickness or thermal properties.
It is worth emphasizing that on a daily basis, water jet cutting is performed using the best cutter in the world, the MACH 3 (6000 BAR), manufactured by the American company FLOW INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, the global leader in technology.
